The 8 photos of which this panorama is composed were taken at the Kehlsteinhaus, former possession of former German dictator Adolf Hitler (though he did not go there very often).
Nowadays it's a major tourist spot due to the incredible view (1834m) and historical significance.
The Kehlsteinhaus itself, along with the road leading there, is a marvel of engineering, considering the work force needed to build it and the time it took (13 months).
